Pencil cases are a serious protective device. If you look at your average sharpened #2 pencil it is very clear, you are looking at a weapon. Interestingly one of the first offensive weapon created and implemented was a sharpened stick, which became known as the spear. Arrows also, are sharp, pointy sticks and are stored, until use, in what is called a quiver. We use a quiver to store arrows because they are sharp, pointy sticks that can hurt you if not stored properly. Most sharp pointy things have proper places that we store them in, until use, to protect us. Hunting, kitchen, and skinning knives fall into this group also.
